On the 20th November 2012 Emergency Exit Arts in association with Stratford Circus, Shape Arts and Creative Connection held an action day about Deaf and disabled artists working outdoors.
The Secret is OUT! Brought together artists, arts organisations and other supporters to find the best ways to continue to develop the vibrant work in an increasingly challenging climate.
All the action from the day was captured here on our Storify and you can also read Danny Braverman’s report on the findings (download the PDF on the right).
The Secret is OUT! Is a continuation from Diversifying Outdoor Arts, commissioned by the Arts Council England (ACE) to deliver a programme designed to encourage more Deaf and disabled artists to explore their practice in relation to outdoor arts.
Futureproofing is a lottery funded training programme for London based 16 – 25 year olds interested in developing their creative career.
EEA is flat packing its Street Arts Academy and throughout June and July they will be popping up at secondary schools throughout Greenwich.
This summer EEA will be touring England to ask the nation; what are your maritime memories and what is your connection to the sea?
