Outdoor Arts Campaign

News

EEA are partners in the Outdoor Arts Catalyst Consortium, a national advocacy campaign to secure the future of the UK’s outdoor arts sector.

The advocacy campaign has been set up to help this dynamic sector of the arts to flourish and attract new sources of funding.

Outdoor arts events have the power to animate places, bring diverse communities and different age groups together, and inspire a sense of place and well-being, as well as bringing tangible social and economic benefits. However, the future of the sector is increasingly uncertain, threatened by the current economic climate in which Arts Council England and funding from local authorities is reduced.

The consortium comprises six outdoor arts organisations with diverse specialisms that exemplify the wide range of artforms in the sector: ISAN, Bureau Of Silly Ideas, Kazzum, Kinetika, Tangled Feet and EEA.

The campaign will run throughout the summer of 2014. We want to ’Keep outdoor arts for all!’.

Join our campaign and play a part by following us on Facebook Outdoor-Arts-UK or Twitter @OutdoorArtsUK.
