Emergency Exit Arts announces CEO departure

Emergency Exit Arts today announces that Daniel Bernstein will step down as Chief Executive Officer in June 2026. Recruitment for his successor will be advertised shortly. Daniel has been part of EEA’s leadership since 2012, becoming CEO in 2019. Over more than 14 years, he has played a key role in shaping the organisation’s artistic and social vision and strengthening its national profile in outdoor arts and creative placemaking. During his tenure, EEA has delivered major public-facing projects including Hi! Street Fest, Stitching Light and Paper Peace, alongside long-term development programmes such as Trainee Producers and Creating Routes.

Daniel will remain involved during a transition period to support continuity and ongoing programmes and will continue working as a freelance Producer in the arts sector. Further leadership arrangements will be announced in due course.
