The Rivers & Moorland festivals are a series of community-focused events held over five years in the three Dartmoor towns of Ivybridge, Okehampton and Princetown.
The festivals offer a range of creative activities that celebrate the local area and its people. From a Carnival, re-enactment of Ivybridge’s Bridge Ceremony, interactive art installations, and creative workshops, alongside Ivybridge Town Council’s annual festival with local food, drink and performances!
Whats On:
Friday 5th June -Moor Understanding
A day of big ideas, enlivening conversations and enriching experiences in nature, produced in collaboration with Sustainable South Hams’ Rally for Nature project.
Come along and listen to talks, watch short films, ask questions, share ideas, meet your community, connect to nature and reflect on some big questions like:
- What does a healthy river look like?
- How can we speak up for nature?
- What can we do to care for the places that care for us?

Saturday 6th June - A giant inquisitive fox called Farrah is visiting Ivybridge
She wants to understand from the people who live & work in Dartmoor- what is it like?
She will be wAndering along Fore Street to Victoria Park, where the festival will continue!
Along the way she will watch the traditional Bridge Ceremony on the old Ivy bridge
