Innovator's Imaginarium

Event

Event details

Fri 7 December 2018 • 4:00pm – 7:00pm

EEA and Output Arts are once again returning to the Blackfriars' Mile with the Inventor's Imaginarium as part of Blackfriars Stories with Southwark Council.

Inspired by the great innovators who have lived and worked in Southwark throughout history, EEA will be inventing the future on the Blackfriars Mile. We will be working in schools and with the community to re-discover the amazing characters of Blackfriars Road, from Babbage and Lovelace to Octavia Hill and Kirkaldy, Southwark has always been brimming over with new ideas.

EEA's huge transformer puppet, a 5m high animated robot made out of wheelie bins will lead a spectacular illuminated parade featuring perambulatory contraptions and inventions made with the community to the Innovator's Fair, where you can invent the future for yourself, guided by characters of the past.

Get involved by joining our FREE craft and lantern making workshops at Bankside Community Space 18 Great Guildford Street, London SE1 0FD.
All Ages and abilities welcome.
