Once again, Alexandra Palace is hosting the Biblio Buzz Children's Books Awards and with it lands our Library of Lost Tales. An interactive installation that will spark the imagination of anyone that comes to the workshops programmed, the Library of Lost Tales will tour the libraries in the area during the weeks ahead of the award ceremony, which takes places at Alexandra Palace Sunday 29th March 2020.
Imagine that on a very ordinary day, something extraordinary happened. Appearing from nowhere, a cabinet lands and it’s here to inspire curiosity, creative writing. It’s wonky, it’s scratched, and contained behind the sheets of glass live the cabinet’s treasures…and it calls to be opened.
We invite the curiously minded to pay a visit to the marvellously extraordinary “Cabinet of Curiosity”. Children can marvel at the odd, the unique and the strange as our interactive installation appears at their local library with our team of Tale Keepers, the fanatical collectors of extraordinary stories. Over the years, the Tale Keepers have travelled the planet to seek out the most intriguing and unique stories the world has to offer. These stories are displayed in the cabinet, an interactive and accessible way of inspiring curiosity, creative writing and expand imaginations.
