Edible Grimsby

A Tasty Revolution to Improve Our Community, One Bite at a Time

In 2022 we are planting the seeds for social change, starting from the ground up.

Edible Grimsby is a new community project using the power of food and creativity to bring people together to tackle both local and global issues.

Edible Grimsby is a tasty revolution you can start at home.

It’s a participatory project blurring the lines between art and everyday life.

An interrogation of the senses.

An exploration of togetherness.

A community-wide effort to reconnect with the planet and with one another

Our process?

Grow, Cook & Share

Our tools to achieve this?

What's Cooking?

Edible Grimsby is a project launching in 2022 aiming to empower the community to take action in their local area and to become better connected with one another. Moving away from wasteful consumerism, we want to use food and creativity as vehicles to tackle issues of power, place, sustainability and community.

The project will promote tasty dishes which are affordable and healthy for people and the planet. Starting in the spring, the ingredients will be grown in the community, cooked at home or in community kitchens, and shared with one another in a mass celebratory event later in the year. The project will include lots of creative opportunities to showcase local artistic talent and celebrate Grimsby and the wider North East Lincolnshire area.

This project is currently under production but we will have more to share in the coming months.
