East Greenwich Summer Fayre

Emergency Exit Arts are thrilled to be hosting a Summer Fayre for you all in our home of East Greenwich. Commencing on Saturday 13 July from 2pm - 7pm there will be a program of activity throughout the afternoon, where all are welcome to attend for free.

The goal of this project is to unify communities, foster new relationships and help make our corner of Greenwich an even greater place to live and work.

On the day we will be throwing a mini procession led by our 5 meter tall mechanical puppet Farrah the Fox, who has been very busy last year touring the UK's High Streets for Hi! Street Fest

There will be opportunities to collaborate with the local community making carnival costumes for a celebration of music and dance with Farrah along the procession route. A range of free public workshops will be accessible in different locations in East Greenwich and the schools that surround the area.

The procession will conclude with a street party at Mauritius Road where you are all invited to come and relax and enjoy the summer's day. We will be working closely with local businesses to provide food and refreshments for you all to delight in.

And if that's not enough the community will be invited to participate in a comedy pet show. led by a comedic duo with a range of categories that will get everybody laughing, so don't worry you won't need to own a pet to enjoy yourselves.

If you're a local resident, community group, school or a local business it's not too late to get involved and organise the fayre as you see fit. Please contact [email protected] for further information or how to get involved.
