Christmas in Colchester – Festive Lantern Parade

This November, EEA is working with Colchester Events to put on a Festive Lantern Parade to open their Christmas in Colchester winter season of events ❄️❄️❄️

Our EEA artists will be running open lantern making workshops and working with local schools and community groups to create light, festive and Beauty & the Beast themed lanterns to illuminate the High Street procession.


Festive Lantern Parade:
Wednesday 16th November from 5pm

The parade will be a spectacular community event with EEA’s giant puppets (The Fire Bird & Santa), live entertainment and music. A wonderful opportunity for schools and community groups to come together and celebrate the start of the festive season and Christmas Light Switch On in Colchester.

Public creative workshops:

Ahead of the event day, join or free workshops to make your own handheld lantern to carry at the Christmas procession!
