The Mayor’s Newham Carnival

EEA are thrilled to be back in Newham to deliver the Mayor’s Newham Carnival for the fifth consecutive year and each year it gets bigger and brighter.

This year over 2000 people will take to the streets in Newham in a fantastic, colourful and dynamic procession that represents many communities in the borough. The 2014 carnival will be inspired by the World Cup in Brazil, home to the many varied and fabulous carnivals that take place each year. To celebrate this we will be working with Newham’s schools and local organisations to create a wonderful procession with a music and dance theme that will parade from Central Park and through the streets of East Ham. In July there will also be a free Carnival Camp for Newham residents to make and perfect their costumes.

Look out for further information in the Newham Mag and on Newham Council’s website.

Venue: Central Park, East Ham
Date: Saturday 12 July from 2pm
