Deb is a founder member of Emergency Exit Arts and has been integral to the organisation's development and outstanding reputation since 1980. She has been involved in the arts for over 30 years during which time she has managed, devised and directed hundreds of outdoor events, shows, processions and participatory projects.
Deb attended Dartington College of Arts in the mid 70s and through this association pioneered community theatre projects in South East London. Formerly a teacher, dancer, performer, clown and arts facilitator, Deb worked with seminal organisations such as Welfare State International, Charivari, LIFT and the A team in Tower Hamlets. Deb has contributed to the formation of degree courses relevant to the development of Outdoor Arts. She has run numerous training courses for teachers and artists and has been a Creative Partnerships mentor and Creative Agent.
