Fabric of Ashford; The Place that Makes Us Finale

Ashford’s high street is the place to be this summer as we host a series of family-friendly activities, performances and workshops as part of The Fabric of Ashford; The Place That Makes Us Finale.

This years Fabric of Ashford has included pop-up workshops, live music, storytelling workshops, street entertainment and art installations. The finale event will proudly showcase the borough’s community spirit in the form of the Ashford Tapestry; a community-created art project comprising colourful fabric artwork, all sewn together to form one show-stopping art installation.

This summer has seen local artists and residents take photos of the places that you know and love around Ashford. Theses photos were then printed onto fabric and decorated by a number of participants during a series of workshops, before being sewn together to form the Ashford Tapestry.

However, if you can't make it to Ashford High Street on the 20th August the tapestry will be on display between the 23rd August - September 30th at various businesses across Ashford:
