Woven Together

A giant nest appears in Woolwich! What could possibly live here?

As we start coming out of lockdown, we will work with communities to co-create a giant creature and its nest and think about the importance of home and our local community.

This event will tie together a multitude of weaving practices to bring together the personal and collective experiences of the Greenwich community in lockdown. A creature emerges from its nest as we have from ours, and our local areas are full of hope, solidarity and new possibility.

Come down to Woolwich on Sunday to discover this and more! This project is part of Weaving Together, a day of weaving-based art and creativity for the community commissioned by Greenwich + Docklands International Festival (GDIF). GDIF runs from 28th August to 12th September.
