Flight of Fancy

Following on from the success of 2017’s Cabinet of Oddities & Curiosities EEA is thrilled to announce it’s new Creative Learning project for 2018 - 2019, Flight of Fancy.

In collaboration with a network of primary and secondary schools we invite children, young people and their families in Greenwich to venture into places of limitless possibility and take a flight of fancy by peeking into the imaginations of others. This flight encompasses invention, digital animation, collaborative storytelling and surprise as each school creates their own micro installation which aims to convey a larger than life experience. These installations will be housed and disguised in bird boxes, giving spectators the element of surprise as they peek into the hole as they are transported to the depths and dizzying heights of young imaginations. Flight of Fancy will also be the instigator for all of the participating schools to start their Arts Mark journey.

In 2019 we will tour these bird box installations to public spaces and cultural venues across the Royal Borough of Greenwich.
